We have exciting newly created opportunities for outstanding individuals to work for our numerous engineering clients across the Middle East and Africa. They will be expected to work internationally as the roles involves a significant amount of travel . These roles will lead on developing and implementing our clients’ diversification strategy, identifying future commercial and diversification opportunities through partnerships and potential acquisitions.

These opportunities are with a large engineering companies based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, however, these positions could be based in either East or West Africa. As Procurement  Managers, they will be Working with one of the world’s major project development and construction groups, you will act as the Procurement expert and advisor and procurement key contact to a specific to the company and its clients across the coast of West Africa in all matters relating to procurement. You will make a real difference to business performance by working closely with line management and client companies.

 

 

DESCRIPTION• Purchase Requisition review and assignment.
• Review of vendor master for selection of vendor for tendering.
• Prepare of Request for Quotation or Call for Tender, and RFP.
• Participate in bid meetings and sit in Bid committees.
• Prepare Bid analysis and Recommendation of vendor for order award.
• Negotiate supply condition(s) where there is conflict with vendor’s sale term(s).
• Perform sectional control on all purchase orders issued by team members before managerial approval or control.
• Prepare Purchase order and expediting for approval.
• Liaise with Local and Foreign QA/QC team to inspect and report correctness and acceptance of order material before shipment and or receipt.
• Expedite delivery with supplier and or transit team based on delivery Incoterms.
• Upstream material planning with user Department – DUET meeting.
• Perform sectional control on all purchase orders issued by team members before managerial approval or control.
• Review and recommend best purchasing practises to be adopted for Lagos purchases.
• Recommend frame agreement(s) to be implemented for purchases.
• Negotiate supply pricing and conditions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly departmental reports for divisional consolidation.
• Material Requisition Review / Logging.
• Selection of suppliers for tendering.
• Prepare Bid analysis and Recommendation.
• Raise Purchase order and expediting of delivery.
• Prepare requirements; Selection of sources, Solicitation of bids; Award of contracts, handling and Claims processing.
• Perform monitoring, technical and management functions directly related to satisfying facility and materiel resource requirements.
• Review and process all spares material requirements for International and Domestic Customers to ensure the most effective resolution of requests and concerns.
• Co-ordinate expediting of delivery
• Conduct Market analysis.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BSc degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent professional certification. Candidates must have at least 4-8 years of procurement, contract administration and RFP experience in any commercial sector
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Purchasing and supply i.e Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP) or Certified International Procurement Expert (CIPE) is essential.
  • Must be an excellent oral and communication skills and must be adept at writing reports, recommendations and proposals. Must have excellent and confident approach in interfacing with senior management.
