Description

This individual will work in collaboration with other professionals in performing a variety of tasks relating to implementing and customizing application for oil and gas facilities management using GIS technology. It is expected that the individual will play a key role in the team that will actualize a new web based GIS tool for online facility management. Amongst the primary function of the individual is database design, write GIS web oriented programs for the web GIS deployment, Creates and runs SQL scripts that would perform data analysis, accuracy validation, data maintenance that is performs database fine tuning adjustments. The individual will also write scripts that would perform complex tuning of GIS Oracle spatial databases to maintain and continually improve performance levels and space allocation configurations.

Skills

Education: Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or geography (or related field with computer emphasis)

Skills: The candidate will have strong communication skills and organizational skills.

Computer Skills: 5 years experience with Arc/Info, ESRI ArcGIS(SDE) Server products. Extensive experience/knowledge in developing end user applications with Visual Basic, strong experience in developing ASP.NET , knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques and experience with RDBMS such as Oracle.

Relevant Experience: Must have a minimum of five years progressively responsible technical experience in GIS programming and application development including database design, web based GIS design.

Remarks

Candidate must have extensive oil and Gas/petrochemical industry experience.
